Falcon Meadow Water Quality

In May of 2024 the Trust received news that no further Bathing Water sites would be assessed for 2024 by the government. This was disappointing as Falcon Meadow is of great importance to local wild swimmers and water sports users.

In response to this news, the decision was made to take on water quality monitoring at Falcon Meadow and to share the results publicity to avoid the loss of momentum that the bathing water project had gained.

This led to the site being designated a 'Citizen Designated Bathing Water', giving local people the confidence to know if the water is safe for swimming and other water sports.
