About

The Harleston group covers the stretch of the river from Hoxne Mill to Flixton. The purpose of our group is to ensure that the river ecosystem is maintained for the benefit of both wildlife and the people of Harleston and beyond.

Sites

Volunteering

Our volunteers focus is the maintenance of our two riverside pocket parks. Activities include practical habitat work and maintenance of structures such as benches and fishing platforms. We also carry out litter picks and remove fallen trees from the river where they block canoe access.

New volunteers are always very welcome. We usually meet on a Tuesday. Please contact Doug Stockdale, Volunteer Area Coordinator, for more details.
